Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time ----> Captain America: The First Avenger

A. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Summary: The story followed the adventures of a young boy named Link and his fairy, Navi. He was enjoined to stop a "wicked man of the desert" or Ganondorf. So, along with Navi, Link left his home town heading to Hyrule to find out how to stop the "wicked man of the desert." He was told to gather spiritual stones so as to get to the triforce. But upon doing so he led Ganondorf right to the triforce. He got trapped in time for seven years and then tried to go after Ganondorf again, this time with the help of seven sages and a sword.
Connections: The sword Link used was called the Master Sword. It was used to defeat evil and chose it's own master.
This master would be someone who had proved themselves to be brave, wise, and strong. In some regions, the sword was also called Excalibur (http://zeldawiki.org/Master_Sword). Link's Master Sword/Excalibur could be a version of King Arthur's Excalibur as seen in the movie Excalibur.

1. Excalibur (film)
Summary: This movie retold the legend of King Arthur, the knights of the round table, Guinevere and Lancelot's romance, Arthur's betrayal, the hunt for the Grail, the imprisonment of Merlin, and the eventual fall of Camelot.
Link: Arthur's sister Morgan Le Fay tricked him into sleep with her. Together they had a son named Mordred.

Mordred and his mother Morgan help to bring the down fall of Camelot. Mordred can also be seen as a character in South Park: Imaginationland Episode II.

2. South Park: Imaginationland Episode II
Summary: Stan, Kyle, and Kurt Russell helped the military access the portal between their world and Imaginationland. Imaginationland was populated by the parody versions of characters from differents movies, tv shows, games and cartoons. As stated above Mordred was one of those characters.
Connections: Imaginationland was under attack by different villians from many different pieces of media. One of the villians was a Skeksis.
The Skeksis were part reptilian, part bird and part dragon. They were also the main antagonists in a movie called The Dark Crystal.

3. The Dark Crystal
Summary: Thousands of years ago some type of cosmic configuration occured that allowed inter spacial or interdimension travel. A race of beings tried to come through to the planet Thra. This attempt caused a magical crystal on Thra to crack. The race that came through split into two different races: the Skeksis and the Mystics. Over time there was war and a race of Gelflings were almost wiped out. In the present, only two were left: Jen (who was raised by the Mystics) and Kira (who may have been raised by Aughra). Together, the Gelflings faced the Skeksis and healed the broken crystal. By doing this Skeksis and Mystics merged back into one race.
Connections: Augrha was one of the main protagonists in the story.
She had the horns of a goat and seemed to be the only living member of her race. She was a seer, a keeper of secrets, and an astronomer. She was aware of the history and of the cosmic configuration that occured and how things could be healed. She even had the shard that was needed to heal the crystal. In her home, on top of a cliff she maintained an observatory. And in this observatory she had a huge working orrery. An orrery was a mechanical model of the solar system.
This orrery was also mentioned in Lev Grossman's The Magicians. On page 324 it is noted that there were "ruins of an enormous brass orrery." This link shows that the author intended that this refer to Aughra's orrey:

4. Lev Grossman's The Magicians
Summary: Quentin Coldwater was a kid from Brooklyn who was accepted to the Brakebill's Academy. Brakebills Academy happened to be an exclusive school for none other than Magicians. And here Quentin found out that all the stories he had read about magic were true and that learning magic was just as boring as regular school. In time, he and his friends were challenged by a being called the Beast. Through hardship, sacrifice, and many trials- Quentin and his friends stopped the Beast. For a while, Quentin decided to do something ordinary like banking, but got bored and returned to the world of magic.
Connections: The author liked to hide allusions in his work to other books and things he likesmd. Some of the allusions were to science fiction and some were to fantasy. One of these was found on p. 394 of The Magicians it mentioned: “Grunnings Hunsucker Swann.”
This was where Coldwater worked at a later date. Grunnings was also the firm that Mr. Dursley worked for in Harry Potter. On page 1 of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone it states that "Mr Dursley was the director of a firm called Grunnings."

5. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by JK Rowling
Summary: A young orphan by the name of Harry Potter lived in cupboard under the stairs in his Aunt Peturnia's and Uncle Vernon's home. When he turned 11 his received an invitation to a school for magic called Hogwarts. After a few fits and starts, he eventually journeyed there. He began to unravel his family history, made friends, and battled a dark wizard.
Connections: One of the friends that Harry made was a girl named Hermione.

Hermione Granger was what was known as a muggle or a magician with two non-magical parents. She was smart, brave, and outspoken. She also seemed to be known by a female named Jemma Simmons on Marvel's Agents of Shield. At one point during the pilot episode Jemma protests that she is "not Hermione."

6. Marvel's Agent of Shield pilot
Summary: Agent Phil Coulson, who was thought dead, returned to start a new SHIELD team. He recruited two specialists and two scientists. Then they tracked down a man with mysterious powers and a hacker that sat in the middle of all things.
Connections: Phil Coulson had a floating car that he has named Lola.

This floating car was very similar to the car seen in a demonstration given by Howard Stark in Captain America: The First Avenger.

Which makes sense because the two shows are in the same universe.

B. Captain America: The First Avenger
Summary: Steve Roger was a skinny kid who kept trying to enroll into the military but was deemed physically unfit. He was finally accepted into a top research project that turned him into a super soldier and he became known as Captain America. He fought in the war against Nazi, Hydra, and the Red Skull.
